Energy Forum Expo MEiH 2026 to be Held in Mexico City

The forum will bring together authorities, executives of global companies, representatives of the financial sector, and sustainability experts to analyze the main challenges of the country's energy sector and strategic opportunities towards the Mexico 2030 agenda. According to the organizers, the forum aims to become a space for discussion on energy security, industrial competitiveness, investment, and decarbonization commitments, key topics for the country's economic development in the medium and long term. Among the confirmed special guests are Luz Elena González, Secretary of Energy; Víctor Rodríguez Padilla, General Director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex); Elizabeth Mar Juárez, General Director of the Mexican Oil Institute (IMP); and Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy, who will participate in various panels focused on the national energy strategy and the role of the public sector in the transition to more sustainable models. The program also includes the participation of international experts and sector consultants. Rafael Scott, partner leading the energy, materials, and sustainability practice at McKinsey & Company México, will open the conference cycle with a talk centered on the energy transition towards 2030 and the challenges Mexico faces to balance economic growth, energy security, and sustainability. In the same vein, Isabel Studer, president of Sostenibilidad Global, will address the topic 'Mexico 2030: sustainability in action,' where she will analyze the role of the private sector and public policies to accelerate the adoption of more environmentally responsible production models. The event will also include spaces dedicated to emerging technologies and new business models. Ian de la Garza, CEO and co-founder of Finsolar, will present the opportunities of the solar market in Mexico, while Israel Hurtado, president of the Mexican Hydrogen and Energy Transition Association (H2 México), will delve into the potential of green hydrogen as an alternative energy source for the industry. The agenda will also incorporate a focus on electromobility and sustainable logistics, with the participation of representatives from companies such as FedEx México, BYD México, and Grupo Bimbo, who will share experiences on the adoption of electric fleets and strategies to reduce emissions in supply chains. From an international perspective, Luciano Di Fiori, partner at McKinsey Energy Insights, will present a regional analysis of the energy market, while Andrea Ramos, Vice President of Climate Adaptation at Kilimo, will address the challenges of climate resilience and sustainable resource management. The event will be hosted by presenter Sofía Niño de Rivera, who will act as host during the three days and will accompany networking activities, specialized forums, and business meetings. With the participation of more than 100 energy sector leaders, Expo MEiH 2026 seeks to become a strategic platform for analysis, investment, and the generation of alliances at a key moment for the country's energy planning towards 2030.
